Essentially it is building a computer system to think link a human and be able to answer questions, perform tasks, generate images and video, and essentially think like a human. AI can also create video and music based off uploaded content or content the system has been trained on. AI has also been used in the medical industry for cancer detection and AI is in basic software use for simplifying various tasks and scheduling on calendars.
It should be noted that for every benefit there can be issues with every aspect of AI. The software can search the web and not differentiate between facts, incorrect information, and satire. Examples of bad results are using glue in recipes, eating rocks being healthy, and leaving a dog in a hot car being safe. Fake videos and images can also be used or nefarious purposes and is getting to a point where it’s difficult to differentiate between real voices and images and fakes.
